DC has finally and full-fledged-ly comes to where it’s been so honest to what it was, to its acronym, ‘Detective’ Comics.
The Batman, by Matt Reeves, starring Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Andy Serkis, and many have now been termed as the BEST or the most favorite by DC fans worldwide in the last two days.
It deserved to be, with Pattinson being a perfect Batman who is so intense and gritty and we can see the darkness and the loneliness in his eyes throughout the film. He gave his best acting, even with his expressions behind the mask, that is so clear what he feels. He carried the darkest Batman of the dc universe like he owes it to. From being a man with vengeance because of his past to becoming or feeling of becoming a hope to the city and its people, with the writing and the playing If his character arc must be one of the outstanding that has ever been written.
Zoe Kravitz, Andy Serkis, and every other member of the cast performed very well helping the film very much with their characters that are written and played deep. Gotham City was designed with an intensive sense of carrying the atmosphere straight to us. Matt Reeves never fails to showcase and he has always cared more about the landscape of the film than many others as we already witnessed in Cloverfield and Apes movies. The technical brilliance, the scintillating music, cinematography, and everything exceed in this 3-hour masterful brilliance in filmmaking.
With no fan service to offer, no nostalgia-inducing nonsense to cover up the bad script, the film only focuses on the story and the characters only. A far away different superhero film compared to the contemporary film which uses to offer entertaining actions, light-hearted comedies here and there, and mystical visuals, The Batman is all about the realistic approach of a vigilante in a popular-for-crime, Gotham city. The film is almost 3 hours long, with lesser action sequences or engaging parts like its contemporaries but only focused on its storytelling.
