I’m a sucker for One Room thrillers whether it’s bad or good, I always wanted to watch the one-room thrillers. I think it all started when I watched Sidney Lumet’s 1957 Classic ’12 Angry Men’, since then I started hunting out these one-room thrillers. It got serious when i watched Jerome Bixby’s “The Man from Earth”.
I’ve found many of those films, most of those were not even available on any streaming platforms, but try out your luck. Here are my recommendations for one room thriller films.

1. Of course. 12 Angry Men (1957)
A dissenting juror in a murder trial slowly manages to convince the others that the case is not as obviously clear as it seemed in court.

2. My another favourite – The Man from Earth
An impromptu party for a college professor becomes a mysterious interrogation when he reveals to his colleagues that he thousands of years old.

3. Devil (Written by M. Night Shyamalan)
Five strangers get stuck in an elevator. Things take a dark turn when a series of unnatural occurrences begin affecting them.

4. Exam (2009)
Eight candidates cooperate in order to secure a job with a prestigious company.

5. Cube (1997)
A group of strangers awaken to find themselves placed in a giant cube. Each one of them is gifted with a special skill and they must work together to escape an endless maze of deadly traps.

6. Circle (2015)
Fifty strangers facing execution have to pick one person among them to live.

7. 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)
After an accident, Michelle finds herself in a bunker with Howard, a stranger who informs her that she is safe with him and the world outside is inhabitable. Left dazed, she decides to escape.

8. And then there were None (1945)
This might not happen in a single room, but happens in a single location.
Based on an Agatha Christie novel, the story revolves around ten strangers who are invited to an isolated mansion to pay for their past crimes.

BONUS :
There’s also a series based on this film which itself based on Agatha Christie’s Novel.
8.1. And then there were None (2015 – 1 Season)
“And Then There Were None” is a dramatic adaptation of the best-selling crime novel by Agatha Christie. The story follows 10 strangers who receive an unusual invitation to a solitary mansion based remotely off Britain’s Devon Coast. Among the guests is an unstable doctor, an anxious businessman, an irresponsible playboy, and a governess with a secret. Cut off from the outside world, the group arrives at its destination, only to find that darkness awaits them. As people start to mysteriously die, the members of the group realize there is a killer among them.

9. Fermat’s Room (2007)
Summoned to a remote warehouse by the enigmatic Fermat (Federico Luppi), four brilliant mathematicians are given pseudonyms — Galois (Alejo Sauras), Hilbert (Lluís Homar), Olivia (Elena Ballesteros) and Pascal (Santi Millán) — and tasked with solving highly complex numerical riddles. As the apparent strangers struggle to solve the puzzles and determine why they are there, the stakes get higher as the walls literally begin to close in around them.

10. The Belko Experiment (2016)
Oh golly, this one scared me alright. I just thought about what if this film happens to us in real life and i was like NOOOO, i’m not even stepping into a 9to5 office anymore.
An ordinary day at the office becomes a horrific quest for survival when 80 employees (John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, Adria Arjona) at the Belko Corp. in Bogotá, Colombia, learn that they are pawns in a deadly game. Happed inside their building, a voice over an intercom tells the frightened staffers that two workers must be killed within 30 minutes. When another ultimatum follows, friends become enemies and new alliances take shape, as only the strongest will remain alive at the end.

There are also classics like Hitchcock’s Rear Window, Rope and other films to checkout. Will be in Part 2. 😉
